Pilates and Studio Questions

  • Do I need to bring a mat? No, mats and equipment are provided. You’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

  • Do I need grip socks? Grip socks aren’t mandatory, but they are preferred as Pilates can be dynamic and you may get a little sweaty!

  • What should I wear? Anything you feel comfortable moving in. There’s no dress code.

  • What facilities are in the studio? There are two toilets in the studio, one with plenty of space to change. There’s a small kitchen for you to refill your water bottles.

  • Are classes beginner-friendly? Absolutely. Every class is designed for all levels with options and modifications throughout so you can choose what feels right for your body.

  • Do I need Pilates experience? No. Whether you’re brand new or more experienced, everyone is welcome.

  • Do I have to do the whole class? Absolutely not. Take breaks, skip reps, modify, or only join in where feels good for you.

Membership Questions

  • How do I book classes? Once you join, you’ll be able to book your classes through the membership platform.

  • How does the membership pricing work? You choose your own membership price based on what feels suitable for you. Your chosen price will continue unless you decide to change it.

  • Can I change my membership price? Yes, you can change your membership option whenever you need to.

  • Can I cancel my membership? Yes. You can cancel anytime and your membership will finish at the end of your current billing period.

  • What makes Dirti Pilates membership different?
It’s a membership that recognises financial inaccessibility rather than ignoring - creating a community that enables those priced out of movement to participate in a more affordable approach and allows others to support those on subsided memberships. A space for movement, community, and feeling good in your body - without the intimidation or pressure.

Community and Access Questions

  • Is the studio accessible? Unfortunately, the studio is on the fourth floor in a loft space with no lift access. If you have access needs or are unsure if the space is suitable, please email dirtipilates@gmail.com

  • Can I attend if I’m pregnant or postpartum? Yes, but please let me know beforehand so I can make sure the class and modifications are suitable for you.

  • What if I have an injury or limitation? Please let me know before attending. I’m big on modifications and will always encourage you to work with your body.

  • Is Dirti Pilates neurodivergent-friendly? Yes. Classes are built around choice, flexibility, and listening to your body. There’s no “right” way to participate. Plus I’m AuDHD :)

  • What if I struggle with instructions or coordination?
Me too babes, I offer demonstrations and modifications throughout - we’re here for a good time - not right time.

  • Can I move differently, stim, or take breaks? Absolutely. You’re welcome to move, pause or adapt in whatever way feels right for you.

  • What if I feel overwhelmed during class? Take a break, pause or step out whenever you need. Your comfort comes first.

  • Is it suitable if I have ADHD or autism? Yes. Dirty Pilates is about creating a flexible, pressure-free space where everyone can participate in their own way.
